Sort of.
VIDEO (Kinja won't let me upload it)
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
This was a month ago. My grandmother owns a 1941 International K-series pickup truck. It was bought by my relatives as a gift for my grandfather. It had been sitting in the yard since the early 1990s, like a sort of permanent lawn decoration. A few months ago me and a relative got the idea to get it running again, partially because I wanted to see it on the road and partially because we needed a truck. Most cars and trucks in this condition either sit rotting in someone's back yard for another eternity, or get sent to the junk yard. This one is going to be doing the same thing it's been doing for 73 years, being used as a farm truck!
This video is one of the first times it has run in 20 years. We'd - that is, my talented relative - had gotten it running a couple of times a few minutes before I got the camera , but it's still amazing to me!

Did you have to rebuild the carb to get it running?

Bandit's family also has a K-series - military surplus. I, on the other hand, merely lust after them.

Nope! All we needed was a point file and a battery.

Thats amazing. Usually the carb is full of gas gelatin after that many years. Maybe it was ran dry when it was parked. How are the brakes?

The brakes? Oh man.
We tried getting one off. We tried everything from blowing a torch on it for half an hour, lubing it, pounding on it with a hammer and attaching one of those grippy things to it (it's visible in the top picture), as well as all those things at once. Didn't budge. Those drums aren't coming off. We'll probably just have to upgrade to modern ones, or at least drums that work.

Did you try putting it in gear? The engine might be able to break them loose, or a sledgehammer might do it. The front drums will probably be even harder.

It turns and the gears work fine, but there's no way to get any real leverage.
